Short exhaust springs, type 1 is a set of twenty printed resin springs for models of motorcycles and cars in 1:12 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of tiny springs imitating those used in racing to join and secure the parts of an exhaust. It is rendered in 1:12 scale and, according to the manufacturer, holds twenty pieces. The parts are printed in resin and keep even the tapered end of the spring. It is not a kit but a detail accessory for the build.
A racing exhaust has to come apart quickly and at the same time it takes different thermal expansion than the rest of the machine. Its parts are therefore not joined solidly but precisely by springs hooked between brackets. On a model it is a detail that tells a racing machine from a production one at once, and it photographs well, because it sits in a clearly visible place.
Cut the springs off with a fresh blade and work over a box. Painting is easiest before cutting them off: a dark base and a metallic shade over it applied with a dry brush, which picks out the individual coils. They are glued with super glue dosed with a pin. Before gluing, check on the exhaust where the spring really belongs, from a photograph of the real machine. The printed parts have supports that have to be removed and the area leveled.
