A pictorial guide of the Fast Guide series devoted to the Toyota Corolla WRC rally car for the 1997 season. Reference material for building and painting a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Toyota Corolla WRC is a rally car built to the World Rally Car rules, which came into force in 1997. Of the ordinary Corolla only the outline of the body remains; underneath it there is all-wheel drive, a turbocharged two-liter four-cylinder engine, a roll cage and widened fenders. The figure 1997 in the name refers to the form for the season in which the car entered the new category.
Fast Guide is a series of pictorial guides intended for modelers. Each volume is devoted to a single car and shows it from the builder's point of view: the shapes, the division of the body, the interior and the places the kit instructions deal with only in passing. The extent of the publication and the language are stated by the publisher.
With a rally car the most common mistakes are in the interior and in the small equipment, that is where a boxed set of instructions has room for one drawing. Pictorial support shows what should be visible through the windows and how the surfaces of the body are arranged, so the build can be planned before any glue is reached for. It will serve when building from another kit of the same car as well.
For builders of rally models and for readers who collect modeling literature. This is a printed publication; a kit, paints and parts are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
