911 GT1 White captures the white base of the Porsche 911 GT1 endurance car, a machine that, despite its name, was built around a mid-mounted engine.

A white associated with the Porsche 911 GT1. It resembled the production 911 only in its front end and cabin, as the whole rear part was built anew around an engine placed ahead of the rear axle. A light body served on it as the surface on which the bold graphics of partners changed from season to season.
The car was created at the end of the 1990s as an answer to rules that left manufacturers great freedom provided they also built a road example. It was powered by a water-cooled flat-six with two turbochargers, and its most notable result was the outright victory in the twenty-four hours at Le Mans in 1998, when two cars finished in the first two places. A white base with colored fields is therefore an easily recognizable subject for a modeler. A light tone at the same time gives away every irregularity on the long tail, which makes it a color where careful surface preparation pays off.
It is chosen by builders of endurance cars and of Le Mans dioramas who need a white tied to one machine. The shade comes from a line where the name always refers to a car. There is a big difference between the individual versions of the machine: the earlier form had a shape closer to the production coupe, while the later car received a differently resolved body with a flat tail, on which the light surface looks even more extensive.
