VW Transporter Red is a red after the Volkswagen Transporter utility vehicle, whose first generations were sold in a two-color form with a colored lower body.

A red named after the Volkswagen Transporter. With the first generations of this vehicle it was not a single-color body: the lower part was colored, the upper sections with the roof stayed light, and a bold horizontal division ran between them.
The Transporter has been built since 1950, and the first generation, nicknamed after its angular nose, had a split windshield and an air-cooled flat four-cylinder at the rear; technically it came from the Volkswagen Beetle. In 1967 the second generation with a one-piece window took over from it. It is precisely with these two generations that a horizontal edge divides the flank of the body, where the colored lower part meets the light upper one, and red belongs among the classic choices there alongside blue and green. The large circular badge of the brand on the nose then divides the red area into two halves.
Modelers of period utility vehicles who work with a two-color scheme and need a red that does not overwhelm a whole model next to a light upper part. It will also be used by collectors who build several variants of the same vehicle in different forms and want the colored lower part to be the same on all of them. On the real subject the red goes around the pillars and the rear sections as well, where the division breaks around the windows, so masking on a model follows the shape of the body and cannot be run along a single horizontal tape.
