Mosquito FB Mk.VI/NF Mk.II - 3D colored interior 1:48

A set of colored 3D decals from Quinta Studio for raising the level of detail in the interior of the British de Havilland Mosquito in the FB Mk.VI and NF Mk.II versions, in 1:48 scale. The elements are printed on a flexible film, carry a raised relief and are applied as a wet decal: after about fifteen seconds in lukewarm water they slide off the backing paper. They have no adhesive layer of their own; they hold on gloss varnish (Future, Klear, Tamiya X-22). These are not photo-etched or resin parts. This smaller version holds the basic set of interior elements. The set is intended for models of the Mosquito in this scale.

What the set contains and what it is for

The instrument panel, the panels and the interior details of the cockpit are reproduced with faithful colors, lettering and a raised relief on the instruments. The flexible film settles even on intricate and curved surfaces, where a drop of gloss varnish helps adhesion, and it creates the impression of three-dimensional equipment without laborious painting of the individual dials.

Use

• Clean and degrease the interior surfaces of the model and go over them with gloss varnish
• Dip the element in lukewarm water for fifteen seconds and slide it off the backing paper into the right place
• Fine-tune the position while the element still slides; on intricate spots a drop of cyanoacrylate glue helps
• Suitable for more advanced modelers with experience in detailing
