A three-dimensionally printed, factory-colored interior on decal paper for the CH-47A helicopter in 1:35 scale from Quinta Studio. The set brings raised instrument panels and panels with crisp printing into the roomy cabin of the Chinook, the kind that ordinary flat decals cannot manage. Given the spacious cabin with its large hatches, a view inside is almost unavoidable with this type, so an investment in the interior pays off more than with most other machines. The set is intended for the Trumpeter kit.
The Boeing CH-47A Chinook with its pair of tandem rotors became the basic heavy transport helicopter of the US Army at the start of the 1960s. In Vietnam it carried guns, supplies and whole units and earned a reputation as an irreplaceable workhorse; the tandem rotor concept proved itself so well that the Chinook flies in updated versions to this day.
Work on a smooth, painted surface; soak each element briefly, transfer it into place and squeeze the excess water out with a soft brush. Keep the water clean: a softener would attack the printed resin. Do not paint over the relief pieces any more; once dry, simply seal them with a matte varnish. Go through the layout of the application before you close up the cabin section of the fuselage, as getting inside afterwards is only possible with difficulty.
