A clear, transparent modeling tube 1.0 mm in diameter in a 2 meter length by the Japanese manufacturer Top Studio, a specialist in detail parts for models of motorcycles, cars and formula machines. It is a detailing material, not a kit: you are buying the raw material from which you make the lines on the model yourself. Clear means transparent: you see through it, so whatever you thread inside shows. That is how it differs from the translucent range, which lets light through but scatters it; that one is milky and you cannot make out an image through it.
The diameter is chosen according to the scale of the model and the purpose. 1.0 mm is the thickest in the clear range and suits above all large scales and heavier lines: a motorcycle in 1:12 or a formula car with proper fuel hoses carries it without trouble, while on a small car in 1:24 it may look oversized, and 0.8 mm is the better choice there. Because one model usually needs several line thicknesses at once, 1.0 mm is typically complemented by the clear 0.8 mm and by the translucent variant in 0.6 and 0.8 mm for fine wiring and cables.
For modelers who do superdetailing and want a model that stands up close inspection; this kind of part makes the difference between a built kit and a competition model. It suits builders of motorcycles in large scales and of racing and formula cars, where the fluid lines are clearly visible.
This is not a kit but a detailing material. Wire, glue and paints are not included in the package. Cut squarely with a sharp scalpel so that the end is not left squashed.
