The Alpha Model brand supplies this sedan as a cast set, where the main shapes already came about in the mold. The castings are accompanied by photo-etched sheet for the fine grilles and plates, clear parts and rubber tires. The added decal sheet covers the badges and the small lettering of the body.
The FD2 generation was an exception among the Civics designated Type-R. While Europe got a three-door hatchback, the Japanese market had a four-door sedan with a stiffer suspension and a wider track. The K20A engine with variable valve timing kept its naturally aspirated breathing and high maximum revs, the gearbox was a six-speed and the front axle got a limited-slip differential. The car was produced between 2007 and 2010.
A white body needs a cleanly sanded and even base, because every sanding mark shows through beneath it. Bring out the window frames and the trim with narrow masking tape or a thin brush with thinned paint. Lay the decals onto a gloss surface and settle them with a decal softener, so that they sink into the pressings. Finish the wheels and the brakes separately and only then fit them into the wheel arches.
