A masking set for the glazing of the Zlin Z 126 and Z 226 aircraft for Eduard kits in 1:48 scale, with pieces for the outer and the inner side.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Zlin Z 126 and Z 226 are Czech two-seat training and aerobatic aircraft from the Trener family. They taught whole generations of pilots to fly and to this day they are among the types Czech modelers most like to build. Their cockpit is glazed over a large area with prominent framing, so masking is one of the decisive steps on a model, the one on which finished work shows most.
The masking set is prepared for Eduard kits in 1:48 scale and contains pieces for the outer as well as the inner side of the glazing. The inner masks make it possible to spray the frames from inside in the interior color without smearing the glass. The frames then look right from both sides, which shows especially on a model with an open cockpit.
Stick the masks onto clean and degreased glazing before spraying, press the edges down with a toothpick and apply the paint in several thin coats; one heavy coat creeps under more easily. Fit the inner pieces before you glue the glazing into the fuselage, otherwise you will not reach them. Once dry, take the masks off by pulling at an angle to the surface and wipe any adhesive residue off with a soft cloth.
The set is intended for builders of Czech trainers in 1:48 scale who want the glazing finished quickly and with sharp edges. There is less work for anyone building both types side by side as well, because the set covers both designations. The kit, the paints and the glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
