A decal sheet in 1:48 scale with the markings of one particular Heinkel He 219 A-0 night fighter, documented by the fuselage codes BE+JA and G9+BL.
Responsibility details are not available.
A separate decal sheet in 1:48 scale with the markings of a single machine: the twin-engine Heinkel He 219 night fighter in the A-0 version. The fuselage codes given in the name identify the aircraft precisely enough for a model to be built from them without guessing at the scheme.
The Heinkel He 219, nicknamed the Uhu, was a German night fighter from the last two years of the Second World War. It had nosewheel landing gear, a pair of liquid-cooled Daimler-Benz twelve-cylinder engines, a two-man crew and a large radar antenna array on the nose. It reached service only in small numbers. The pair of codes in the name corresponds to the dual marking of German aircraft: the four-character code was carried by the machine from the manufacturer, while the code with a two-character prefix was given to it at a combat unit.
The decals belong on finished, dried paintwork, and on a smooth glossy base; on matte paint air gets caught under the film and silvering results. Trim the carrier film as close to the design as possible, blot the water away with a soft cloth after placing it and let it dry thoroughly. Around outlets and transitions a decal softener helps, as it pulls the film into the scribed lines. The finished markings are unified with a final varnish.
A decal sheet is supplied. A kit, paints, varnish and a softener are not included, unless stated otherwise.
