1:48 TBF-1C interior 3D decals is a set from the Kelik brand with three-dimensional color elements for the inside of the TBF-1C carrier torpedo bomber from the Academy kit in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This item is an accessory to the Academy kit, not the aircraft itself. In it the Kelik brand deals with the inside of the TBF-1C torpedo bomber through elements that, according to the name, are worked out three-dimensionally and supplied already in colors. On a three-seat machine with a glazed cockpit and a gun turret this is a step that shows in the result more than on a single-seat fighter.
The Grumman TBF Avenger was the largest single-engine carrier machine of its day and from the Battle of Midway on it became the main torpedo bomber of the US Navy. It carried a crew of three men, had an internal bomb bay and a rotating gun turret behind the pilot. The TBF-1C version brought above all strengthened armament in the wing and the ability to carry additional fuel, which widened the range of the type and the circle of its tasks from purely torpedo work to anti-submarine and strike duties.
On this type it pays off to lay the work out in sections – the pilot's cockpit, the radio operator's station and the turret each have their own access and once the fuselage is glued together they can no longer be reached. Smooth and degrease the surfaces before fitting the elements. Fit the glazing right at the very end, otherwise it is easy to fog it up. The exact order of the steps and the recommended aids are given by the manufacturer in the enclosed instructions.
