Three-dimensional decals of the CH-46E cargo compartment interior in 1:48 scale from Kelik carry three-dimensional, color cabin detail onto the model without the labor of painting small things. Intended for Academy kits.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a kit of the helicopter but a set of three-dimensional decals for the cargo compartment interior of a CH-46E model in 1:48 scale. Unlike ordinary decals, these printed films are not flat: they have relief and come in color, so once stuck down they look like raised, painted and shaded cabin detail. The modeler therefore gets a finished interior look without painting by hand and picking out tiny elements. The set is intended for Academy kits.
On a tandem helicopter the cargo compartment interior is visible through the doors and the rear ramp, but the plastic tends to be simplified in those places and painting small areas by hand is drawn out. A relief decal gives depth and a transition of color in one step, and the difference shows above all in photographs of the finished model. The set is cut for a particular model in 1:48 scale, so the parts go on without drawn-out trimming.
The surface you will be sticking to must be clean, smooth and degreased; on a rough finish the detail will not seat. Take the parts out with fine-jawed tweezers and try them dry first, because once laid down they are hard to move. Follow the manufacturer's instructions and work from large areas to small elements. On slightly curved surfaces, light pressure with a soft stick from the center to the edges helps. We recommend finishing the interior before the fuselage is closed up; after that you will not reach the space.
The set is an accessory, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
