Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the European Panavia Tornado combat aircraft in 1:72 scale from the German company Revell. The box is issued for the fiftieth anniversary of the type; the prototype Tornado first left the ground in 1974. The particular version and the markings offered are stated on the box of the kit and in the instructions inside.
The Tornado came about as a joint program of Great Britain, Germany and Italy and for many decades became the backbone of their tactical air arms. Its most conspicuous feature is the variable-geometry wing: spread out it shortens the takeoff and increases the load, swept back it allows a fast run at low level. The power comes from two Turbo-Union RB199 turbofan engines with afterburners. The crew consists of a pilot and a weapons systems officer, seated one behind the other under a common canopy.
Think the movable wing through in advance. A fixed position holds its shape more reliably and there is no risk of the joint working loose over time. Finish the cockpit and the instrument panels before you close the fuselage up; after that you will not reach them. Low-visibility gray camouflage comes to life when you pick the panel seams out gently and grade the shades over the large areas of the wings.
The kit is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue and paints are not in the package.
