A set of three-dimensional colored decals on decal backing paper, meant to bring the cockpit of a model in the large 1:32 scale to life. Unlike flat decals, this type of marking has a raised profile, so the instrument panels and side consoles gain real relief. The name denotes the smaller variant of the set, that is a narrower scope than the full version has. The package contains no aircraft and no plastic parts. The set is intended for the Italeri kit.
The F-104S was the Italian branch of the Starfighter line of development: an interceptor with a very thin wing of small span, a slender fuselage and high performance in the vertical. Against the American versions it received radar and armament allowing medium-range guided missiles to be carried, which made it a full-fledged interceptor. It lasted unusually long in service and in Italian markings it was among the best known European Starfighters.
The parts are separated with a sharp scalpel and applied in the same way as decals, that is by a short dip and a transfer onto a dry, clean surface. Have the interior sprayed beforehand in the matching base shade, so that nothing shows through under the edges. Leave out decal softener, as it would attack the printed resin. The set is cut for a particular kit, so compare the shape of the cockpit with your own model beforehand. Do the work before you glue the fuselage together.
