A detailed cockpit accessory for the large scale, executed as raised colored decals on decal backing paper. The layered print gives the instrument panels and consoles a depth that a flat decal will never reach, and yet it is worked with ordinary decal technique. According to the name this is the smaller variant of the set. There is no aircraft and no structural part in the package; count on that when ordering. The dimensions and shapes derive from the Italeri kit.
The abbreviation ASA refers to the Italian modernization program for the Starfighter, which brought the machines newer avionics and the ability to carry more modern guided missiles. The cockpit of aircraft modified in this way therefore differs in details from the older examples, and it is precisely these differences that the separate set targets. The modernized Starfighters stayed in service until the nineties and so closed an unusually long career for the type as a whole.
First try the seating of the cut-out parts dry, so that you know exactly where they belong. After a short dip let the part rest on paper for a while so that the adhesive activates, and only then transfer it. Squeeze the water out from under it carefully with a cotton swab. Never hurry to close the fuselage up while the layers have not dried, or the raised surface will deform.
