ZIL-132P with VK-1 equipment is a kit of a Soviet three-axle off-road special vehicle in 1:43 scale from the maker AVD Models.
Responsibility details are not available.
An assembly model of the experimental off-road vehicle ZIL-132P in the form designated VK-1. It belongs in a collection as a piece never seen on ordinary roads: the ZIL design office built these vehicles in small numbers to test movement in terrain without tracks. 1:43 is the classic car scale, so the finished model matches the other collector cars in a cabinet in size.
The ZIL-132P is a three-axle, all-wheel-drive vehicle built as an experimental carrier for work away from made-up roads. Vehicles of this line of development had their wheelbase laid out so that the vehicle crossed uneven ground more easily, and large wheels with a tall profile. They never reached series production and remained small batches and test examples, which is exactly why a scale version is interesting to a collector: ready-made metal models hardly cover such vehicles at all.
On vehicles with large wheels the geometry decides the final impression: glue the axles on a flat surface and keep checking whether all the wheels sit down. Leave the wheels to the end, after the body and the chassis have been sprayed, and you will save yourself masking. For painting, reach for a simple scheme with one main shade and deal with the difference between body and frame by the degree of gloss rather than another color. Dust on the tires and the underside of the vehicle gives the model its scale better than any accessory.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
