Responsibility details are not available.
Amusing Hobby has rendered the Porsche rival of the Tiger as a new tooling in 1:35 scale. According to the information from the manufacturer the kit contains a full interior, link-and-length tracks, photo-etched parts, printed accessories and a nylon cord for the tow cables, so the build is aimed rather at more experienced modelers.
The vehicle arose as the VK 45.01 (P) project from the workshop of Ferdinand Porsche and competed with the design from the Henschel company, which in the end won and became the well-known Tiger. The Porsche solution was technically bold: a pair of engines drove generators and only those then drove electric motors at the rear wheels. The vehicle weighed around sixty tons, carried an 88 mm gun and armor up to one hundred millimeters thick. Series production never happened, the finished chassis served other purposes and a few completed vehicles ended up as training machines at training grounds, exactly in the form the name of the model describes.
Build and paint the interior in sections before the hull is closed, as otherwise you will no longer reach it; lighting and photographs during the build pay off, because once it is closed only part of the work stays visible. Assemble the tracks in longer runs and let them hang with a natural sag. On a training machine a heavier weathering makes sense: dust from the training ground, paint worn off the edges and mud in the running gear.
The kit comes unassembled and unpainted, without glue, paints and other accessories, unless stated otherwise.
