This is a set of precisely turned metal (brass) barrels for models of the Russian BMD-4 airborne fighting vehicle in 1:35 scale. The set covers the barrel of the 100mm 2A70 weapon, the barrel of the 30mm 2A72 cannon and the barrel of the coaxial 7.62mm PKT machine gun. It is not a model of the vehicle but a detail accessory that replaces the plastic parts. The target kit is Trumpeter.
The BMD-4 is a Russian tracked airborne fighting vehicle whose turret carries a combined armament: a 100mm low-pressure gun, a coaxial 30mm automatic cannon and a PKT machine gun. Metal barrels faithfully capture the thin muzzle walls and the fine detail that plastic castings cannot reproduce.
Degrease the metal parts, clean up the transitions and glue them with cyanoacrylate or two-part epoxy. Apply a primer suited to metal before painting. Pick out the gun muzzles with a light firing stain.
This is an add-on detail set, not a standalone model. The paints, the glue and the kit are not included in the package.
