This is a diorama accessory, not a model of an aircraft. The scale model represents a transport cart with a fuel tank of a nominal capacity of 100 gallons, that is roughly 380 liters, of the kind that served to refuel smaller aircraft directly on the apron or to distribute fuel around an airfield. The 1:48 scale matches ordinary aircraft kits, so the accessory fits most display cases. The name contains minor misspellings in the English words, but the contents of the product are not affected.
A fuel cart is one of the elements that turn an aircraft on a base into an aircraft at an airfield. Brought up to the filler neck, parked at the edge of the apron or hitched behind a tractor, it explains the operational situation at once and gives the scene action. At the same time it offers room for work with hoses, valves and small tools, which are the details a viewer notices. It works well paired with a ground crew figure.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with dish soap, let them dry and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Spray a primer before painting. Fuel handling equipment tends to be worn out by service, so after the base shade add chipped paint on the edges of the tank, dust and mud on the wheels and the lower part of the frame, and greasy streaks under the filler neck, which can be done with a glossy dark effect. The hose can be added from thin wire wrapped in insulation or from a soft conductor, because a real hose never lies straight. A wash around the fittings pulls out the detail and dry brushing brings up the riveting and the rims of the tank.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints, a base and an aircraft model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
