A resin set of four British 1000 lb aircraft bombs in 1:48 scale from the Ukrainian manufacturer Reskit, in the version with a type 114 tail unit and a type 947 tail fuze. This is not a model of an airplane; these are accessory stores with which you arm a kit, or out of which you create a scene of arming on its own.
The thousand-pound bomb has been among the basic stores of the Royal Air Force (RAF) since the postwar era and a whole range of machines carried it. Stores from a kit tend to be simplified and as a rule do not offer a particular combination of tail unit and fuze; resin castings bring sharp detail of the lugs, the tail surfaces and the body of the bomb and make it possible to build a believable external load for a particular period and machine. Four pieces are enough for the typical load of a model and for filling out a munitions scene.
Wash the castings clean of mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off with a saw and sand the cuts. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and apply a primer before painting. With munitions it pays to work with semi-matte shades, a fine wash into the seams and discreet rubbing of the edges, because bombs on real bases carry the marks of handling. Verify the color marking of the bands according to the period and the operator your model represents.
