Responsibility details are not available.
A set of photo-etched armor shields from the Czech maker Hauler intended for models of the German four-barrel 2 cm Flakvierling 38 anti-aircraft gun in 1:48 scale. The thin metal shields replace the thicker plastic parts and match the real thickness of the armor better. It is an aftermarket accessory, not a model in its own right. The set is designed for the Tamiya kit.
The 2 cm Flakvierling 38 was a German four-barrel 20 mm anti-aircraft gun of the Second World War. Some of the mounts carried armor shields that protected the crew against splinters and fire. In scale a thin photo-etched shield comes out more realistically than a plastic molding.
The photo-etched shields are separated with a sharp knife and shaped to match the original if needed. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Degrease them before painting and spray them with a primer; the edges and the rivet detail come out after a wash and highlighting.
This is a detail accessory. The base model, the glue and the paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
