A set of masking templates from Omask for models of the Japanese carrier fighter Mitsubishi A6M5 Zero in the Model 52 version in 1:48 scale. The masks are precisely cut from quality yellow masking (kabuki) tape and follow the shapes of the cockpit glazing framing, and of further clear or small parts. It is not a part of the model but an aid for clean, quick painting.
Cutting the canopy framing from tape by hand is slow and inaccurate. The pre-cut masks are simply peeled off the sheet, applied to the glazing and used to frame the areas to be sprayed, so that crisp and even lines come out with no paint creeping under. Once the paint is on, they come off easily.
This is a masking accessory, not a paint and not a part of the model. Paints are not included in the package.
