An add-on set for a model of the A-26B/C Invader in 1:48 scale: replacement wheels and masks for painting.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Invader is a twin-engine attack and bomber aircraft of the end of the Second World War which went on serving long afterward. That is exactly why two designations go with it: the original A-26 and the later B-26, both for the same machine. The B version had a solid nose fitted with gun armament, the C version a glazed nose for the crew member who aimed the bombs.
The set brings replacement wheels and masks for painting for a model in 1:48 scale. The wheels replace the parts from the original kit and on separate sets tend to be more worked out, mainly in the definition of the tread and in the detail of the hub. The masks serve during painting to separate two areas; on wheels they are usually used on the boundary between the tire and the hub. The exact number of parts and what they are for are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Before gluing, check what the parts in the package are made of: polystyrene takes cement for plastic, while cyanoacrylate holds on other materials. Cut the surplus material away with a sharp blade a little clear of the part and sand the rest down, so as not to damage the part. Wash and degrease the parts before painting, otherwise the finish will not hold on the smooth surface. Stick the mask onto a dry and clean surface before spraying, press it down well all the way around and take it off as soon as the paint has flashed off; on dry paint the edge tears away easily.
The parts of the set are supplied. The aircraft kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
