Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American light attack and counter-insurgency aircraft Cessna A-37A Dragonfly in 1:48 scale from Trumpeter. It is a new tooling with fine surface detail. Besides the plastic parts the box also holds a photo-etched fret, rubber tires, a metal machine gun barrel and rich external stores, so you have a solid basis for a detailed build straight out of the box.
The A-37 Dragonfly came about by converting the Cessna T-37 trainer, and so it earned the nickname Super Tweet. For use in Vietnam it received a more powerful pair of J85 jet engines, strengthened landing gear, auxiliary tanks on the wingtips and a number of pylons under the wings for bombs and rockets. In the nose it carried a 7.62 mm rotary machine gun. It was an agile and cheap machine suited to the close support of ground units and to counter-insurgency fighting.
Use liquid cement for plastic and work in subassemblies. Finish and paint the cockpit before closing the fuselage; glue the photo-etched parts and the metal barrel with cyanoacrylate glue. Apply a primer and put the paints on with an airbrush. Fine-tune the external stores and the tanks only after the airframe has been painted. With Southeast Asian camouflage schemes you will appreciate discreet weathering of dust and wear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
