A detailed resin set that replaces the cockpit of the plastic kit with a more faithfully rendered interior. It is NOT an aircraft model but an accessory to the base kit of the Cessna A-37 Dragonfly light ground-attack aircraft. The set typically combines resin castings with photo-etched parts for the harness and the instrument panels.
The Cessna A-37 Dragonfly came about as a ground-attack and counter-insurgency version of the T-37 trainer. It was deployed above all during the Vietnam War on attacks against ground targets. The A-37A version was an early combat conversion with strengthened armament and cockpit armor.
Cut the parts off the casting blocks, wash them free of mold release agent and glue them with cyanoacrylate. Check how they sit in the fuselage before gluing and, if need be, sand the mating surfaces with respiratory protection. The interior comes out best after shading and drybrushing over the raised detail.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and, as an aftermarket set, it calls for a more experienced hand. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
