An injection-molded plastic kit of the Douglas A-4F Skyhawk carrier-based light attack aircraft in 1:48 scale. The model is assembled and painted and offers a solid basis for detailed work on the cockpit and the stores.
The A-4F was one of the most developed forms of the Skyhawk light carrier attack aircraft. It differed from the older versions in the characteristic dorsal hump with extra avionics behind the cockpit and in a more powerful engine. Small and nimble, the aircraft served with the US Navy and the Marine Corps and became a symbol of carrier attack aviation.
Use a thin liquid cement on the plastic joints. Finish the cockpit before closing up the fuselage, and bond the clear parts with canopy glue so that they do not go cloudy. Prime the surfaces and paint them with an airbrush; decals bed down better on a gloss varnish and a flat overcoat evens out the surface.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
