An injection-molded plastic kit of the Boeing AH-64D Longbow Apache attack helicopter in 1:48 scale from the Italian manufacturer Italeri. The parts are molded in gray and clear plastic, and a detailed cockpit with an instrument panel, waterslide decals and illustrated instructions are included. The package offers several finish options for different operators of the machine.
The AH-64D Longbow is the upgraded version of the Apache attack helicopter, with markedly higher combat capability and an advanced target acquisition system. Its characteristic feature is the radar housed in a dome above the main rotor, which allows targets to be detected and engaged even from cover behind terrain. The Apache is among the best known and most widely deployed attack helicopters of modern times.
Cut the parts from the sprues with a sharp knife and glue them with liquid cement for plastic. A primer is recommended before spraying. It is a good idea to mask the cockpit glazing, and to support the dark matte shades with a gentle accenting of the panels. Transfer the waterslide decals through lukewarm water onto a smooth gloss varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
