This set from the Brassin line by the Czech maker Eduard is not an aircraft model but a detailing resin armament accessory. It brings AIM-7E Sparrow missiles with faithfully rendered bodies, wings and control surfaces, which replace the simplified armament from a plastic kit. It usually comes with decal markings. The set does not include the aircraft kit.
The AIM-7 Sparrow is an American medium-range air-to-air guided missile with semi-active radar homing. The AIM-7E version was widely used in its day; it was carried by a number of American fighters of the Vietnam War era, for example the F-4 Phantom II.
Wash the resin parts to remove mold release residue, cut them off the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. The missiles show to advantage once an even base coat, accurate markings and light panel shading have been applied.
This is an add-on resin set, not a standalone model. Glue, paints and the aircraft kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
