A resin detail set from the Czech maker Brengun in 1:48 scale. It is NOT an aircraft kit but an accessory that makes it possible to build two faithful replicas of the modern AIM-9X Sidewinder air-to-air guided missile for arming a jet fighter model. The package combines resin parts with fine etch and decals.
The AIM-9X Sidewinder is an American infrared-guided short-range air-to-air missile, the latest member of the long Sidewinder family. It is carried by modern fighters such as the F-16, the F/A-18, the F-15, the F-22 and the F-35 and is marked by high agility and a sensitive seeker.
First wash the resin parts to remove any remains of the mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off and protect your airways when sanding. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply a primer before painting, then airbrush them and add the marking decals. The set suits pylons under the wings or the wingtips.
The accessory is supplied unpainted, as a resin set. The basic model, the glue and the paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
