The color 3D interior Albatros D.V (1:48) is a set of colored 3D decals from Quinta Studio for a detailed cockpit of the Albatros D.V fighter of the First World War. It is not a kit but an accessory. Target kit: Eduard.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set brings a complete color cockpit printed by 3D printing on decal paper. It is applied much like classic decals, but thanks to its relief structure it carries three-dimensional detail: recessed instrument dials, wooden interior paneling, switches, levers, grab handles and seat belts. It is not a kit but an accessory made to detail a model of the Albatros D.V fighter in 1:48 scale markedly. The decals are shaped for the parts of the Eduard kit.
The Albatros D.V was a German fighter biplane of the First World War. It was marked out by an elegant, aerodynamically shaped fuselage of plywood shells and was powered by an inline Mercedes engine. It was used on the Western Front from 1917 onward and a number of well-known fighter units flew it.
The color printing does away with the need to paint small instruments, the wooden paneling and the seat belts. The parts are taken out of the sheet, applied to the inner walls of the cockpit, the instrument panel and the seat and gently pressed into shape before the fuselage is closed. A smooth and degreased surface and, if wanted, fixing with a matte varnish are recommended. Reaching for a decal softener would be a mistake, as it attacks the resin print.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
