It holds separate rounds for the main gun, which suit the fighting compartment of the casemate, the stowage frames or a diorama scene beside the vehicle. The set is shaped for the kit given by the name, and it assumes that you are adding further details to the model.
The Jagdpanther was a German tank destroyer from the end of the Second World War, built on the chassis of the Panther medium tank. An 8.8 cm gun with a long barrel was mounted rigidly in a casemate superstructure, that is, without a rotating turret. The rounds for this gun were long and heavy and took up a substantial part of the interior - for a modeler that is the reason why the set comes into its own above all on models with an open or at least partly exposed interior.
Before you start, wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent and so remove the release agent from the mold. Cut the casting blocks, do not break them off: a long slender round snaps easily at its thinnest point. Make the joints with super glue and hold the part with tweezers, because once it is cut off it is hard to hold in your fingers. Painting has two levels - the metal case and the differently treated head of the projectile. It pays to mix a matte version of the metallic shade and only bring the sheen out by polishing, or the whole stack of rounds looks artificial. Stowed rounds in the interior are finished off by a darker wash and fine dust around them.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. It is an accessory for a model, not a kit in its own right; the base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
