Responsibility details are not available.
A set of painting masks in kabuki tape from the Czech maker Eduard for a model of the German Arado Ar 196 reconnaissance floatplane in 1:48 scale. The self-adhesive masks are machine-cut for the frames of the cockpit glazing and for the wheel discs. Thanks to them, spraying gives crisp, clean edges without cutting tape by hand. It is not an airplane model but an accessory for painting; the base kit has to be obtained separately.
The Arado Ar 196 was a German catapult-launched reconnaissance floatplane of the Second World War, deployed from the decks of heavy warships and from coastal bases alike. The long glazed crew canopy is a prominent area for masking the glazing.
Degrease the glazing first and move the masks with tweezers. Press them carefully against the edges of the frames, so that paint cannot run underneath. Apply the paint in thin coats and take the masks off while the finish is still fresh.
This is an accessory for masking while painting, not a model. The kit itself, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
