An aftermarket detail accessory from the Hungarian company SBS Model. The set holds resin, and possibly also photo-etched, parts of faithful bays for the main and the nose landing gear for models of the German jet aircraft the Arado Ar-234 Blitz in 1:48 scale. They replace shallow or empty plastic spaces and add the texture, the ribs and the runs that are clearly visible with the landing gear open.
The Arado Ar-234 Blitz was the first operationally deployed jet bomber and reconnaissance aircraft in the world, used by Germany in the closing stage of the Second World War. The slender fuselage with the landing gear retracted into narrow bays makes a faithful treatment of them a striking detail.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and fit them into the fuselage; they are bonded with super glue. It is worth painting the bays before closing up and picking them out with washes. Mind the correct seating, so that the landing gear doors line up. Sanding with respiratory protection.
The accessory is supplied as unpainted resin parts. Paints, glue and the kit are not included in the package.
