Masks for spraying the aggressor camouflage onto a Kfir C.2 model in 1:48 scale, including stencils for numbers and insignia.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Kfir is an Israeli fighter with a delta wing and with small canards at the air intakes, thanks to which it is recognized at first glance. The C.2 version is among the most widespread. Under the F-21 designation these machines fly in the United States in the training role of the opponent, that is, as an aggressor, and wear striking camouflage schemes that a frontline combat aircraft would never be given.
In the package are die-cut masks for spraying the camouflage scheme in 1:48 scale and with them stencils for numbers and insignia. The pattern and the lettering are therefore applied in paint through a mask, not as a decal. The numerals have ready-made shapes, so on the model they come out the same height and with the same spacing, which is exactly what never works out with hand-made stencils.
Spray the base shade, let it cure and degrease the surface. Lay the mask on, line it up by a panel and press the edge down along its whole length. Apply the next color in thin layers at right angles to the surface. Take the mask off shortly after drying. With the numerals and insignia, try the position dry, so that they sit at the same height on both sides of the fuselage. It is best to measure them from the same panel line, not from the edge of a part.
The set is for builders of training adversary aircraft and for anyone who wants the lettering sprayed in the same sheen as the rest of the finish. The contents are masks only; the model, paints and glue are not part of them, unless stated otherwise.
