This photo-etched set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard adds fine exterior detail to a model of the Martin B-26F Marauder medium bomber in 1:48 scale. It is not an airplane model but an accessory for a kit. The set holds unpainted photo-etched parts that sharpen small features of the airframe such as covers, grilles, steps and latches, which are usually only suggested in the plastic.
The Martin B-26 Marauder was an American twin-engine medium bomber used above all in Europe and the Mediterranean. Despite a reputation as a demanding aircraft it achieved very low losses per combat sortie. The B-26F version had an increased wing incidence to improve its takeoff behavior.
Separate the parts from the fret, make the bends over a sharp edge and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Fit the exterior photo-etched parts after the surrounding area has been painted, then blend them into the overall patina of the model.
This is an accessory set, not a kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
