Responsibility details are not available.
A masking sheet for rendering the national insignia and markings of the twin-engine Martin B-57 bomber in the B and G versions in color. The layout of the cutouts is based on the Airfix mold the set is cut for.
The B-57 is the only combat aircraft of British origin that the American military adopted in the postwar era and had built at home under license. The basis was the Canberra jet bomber, but the American company reworked it thoroughly: a two-seat cockpit one behind the other under a single long canopy replaced the original layout, the bomb bay received rotating doors and the wing pylons for an external load. The B version became a classic night attack machine, flown over Southeast Asia as well. The later G was a conversion for hunting targets on supply routes at night, when the machine received sensors in an enlarged nose for working in the dark. The high slender wing gave the aircraft good endurance at high altitude.
Markings sprayed through a stencil keep the tone of the rest of the camouflage and nowhere create a glossy rectangle of carrier film. That pays off mainly with matte finishes and on the large areas of the wing, where the gloss would show every time you looked against the light.
