The Quickboost (Aires) set in 1:48 scale holds an external, that is jettisonable, fuel tank for the British Bristol Beaufighter heavy fighter and ground-attack aircraft. It is a detail accessory, not a kit of the airplane: the tank rounds out the stores of a model and raises both its fidelity and its range of options in a build.
The Bristol Beaufighter was a potent twin-engine aircraft used as a night fighter and as an attack and torpedo machine. To lengthen its range it carried slung external tanks, which were jettisoned when the need arose. Tanks like these are a rewarding detail when building machines with long-range duties.
Wash the part free of mold release residue, separate it from the casting block and bond it with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways while sanding. We recommend taking care over a firm and symmetrical attachment of the tank to the pylon, so that it sits straight.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as a resin detail set. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
