Responsibility details are not available.
A set of self-adhesive die-cut masks from the Czech maker Eduard, intended for a plastic model of the twin-engined Beaufighter TF.X in 1:48 scale. It is not a model of the aircraft or a kit but an accessory for the build: the carrier film holds machine-cut shapes that follow exactly the frames of the cockpit glazing and the other areas that are to stay clear after spraying. The masks are used once and peeled off after spraying.
The Bristol Beaufighter TF Mk.X was the torpedo and strike derivative of the heavy twin-engined Beaufighter. It served above all with Coastal Command of the Royal Air Force, attacking shipping targets with torpedoes, unguided rockets and heavy cannon armament in the nose. The crew consisted of a pilot and a navigator or radar operator. The glazing of the pilot's position and of the rear station has complex frames, and masking them by hand with tape is tedious and rarely comes off at the first attempt.
For modelers who want sharp, straight frame edges without bleeding and without laboriously cutting tape with a knife. The set saves hours of work and noticeably raises the final impression of the finished model, because the cockpit is the first place a viewer looks.
It is an accessory for the build, not a model. Paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package.
