The TFace masking set for the Bell OH-13 Sioux in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Eduard contains die-cut masks for the outside as well as the inside of the glazing.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a kit but a masking set in the TFace version. That means the masks are prepared for both sides of the glazing, that is separately for the outside and separately for the inside. Thanks to that you can spray the frame of the cabin from both sides while leaving the glass clean.
The OH-13 Sioux has a spherical glazed cabin into which there is a view from practically every side. The inner side of the frame is therefore not a detail that disappears but an area that the viewer sees through the glass at the same time as the outside. If masking is done only from outside, the inside of the frame stays in the color of the clear part and the difference is conspicuous on a finished model. The TFace set solves that problem without the need to cut a second set of masks by hand.
Work one side at a time. First stick down and spray the inner masks in the interior color, let them dry and only then deal with the outside. Degrease the glazing before each step. Press the masks down along their whole edge; on a curved surface warming them slightly helps them adapt to the shape. Apply the paint in thin coats, otherwise it will creep under the edge. Peel the mask off while the paint has only just dried. Glue clear parts with a glue intended for glazing, as ordinary cement for plastic can fog the glass.
This is an accessory for a plastic kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
