A SPACE set in 1:48 scale with colored three-dimensional interior elements for the Bell P-39Q Airacobra fighter. Only the carrier paper is wetted, and the element is fixed with dispersion glue.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Bell P-39 Airacobra was an American fighter with an unusual layout: the twelve-cylinder Allison V-1710 V12 engine lay behind the pilot and drove the propeller through a long shaft running under the cockpit floor. The freed nose received a nose wheel and a cannon firing through the axis of the propeller hub. The cockpit was entered through small doors at the side as in a car, and the large glazed area gives a good view of the interior on a model. The Q version carried heavy machine guns in underwing gondolas.
Colored three-dimensional interior elements in 1:48 scale from Eduard's SPACE range. They have genuine depth, so the instrument panel, the side consoles and the belts come across as raised without laborious brush painting of small details. The extent of the set and the kit it is tuned to are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
With elements of the SPACE range only the carrier paper is wetted, best with a damp sponge and a drop of dish soap. Do not use decal softener, as it would damage the element. Paint the area under the element first and let the paint cure thoroughly, because glue does not hold on fresh paint. Lift the element off the wetted paper with tweezers and lay it onto a degreased surface on a thin layer of white dispersion glue; the manufacturer does not recommend superglue. Press it down with a soft wooden stick from the center toward the edges and work one piece at a time.
The kit of the aircraft, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
