Responsibility details are not available.
A set of three-dimensional colored decals from the manufacturer Quinta Studio for detailing the cockpit of a model of the Messerschmitt Bf 109E-3/4 fighter in 1:48 scale. These are raised parts printed on a backing decal paper, which are transferred with water like classic decals, not photo-etch or resin.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109E, nicknamed Emil, was the main German fighter in the early phases of the Second World War, deployed among other things during the Battle of Britain. It was powered by an inverted V12 Daimler-Benz DB 601 engine, and the E-3 and E-4 versions differed mainly in armament. The cockpit with its typical instrument panel is a favorite target for superdetailing.
First go over the cockpit with a gloss clear coat (Future, Klear, Tamiya X-22); the parts have no adhesive layer of their own and will not hold on a matte surface. Cut the elements out, soak them for about fifteen seconds in lukewarm water and slide them off the paper onto the instrument panel and the side panels; in the relief a drop of super glue helps. Do not use a decal softener, as it attacks the printed resin. The print imitates the gauges, the seat belts and the controls; work with sharp tweezers.
The set contains interior decals only. The model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
