Bf 109F landing flaps 1:48 is a resin detail set from Eduard. It replaces the wing flaps with more faithful parts plus photo-etch, and it is an accessory for models of the Messerschmitt Bf 109F.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set brings detailed landing flaps for models of the Messerschmitt Bf 109F in 1:48 scale. It is an aftermarket resin accessory complemented by photo-etch, which lets you show the flaps in the lowered position with faithful structure. It does not contain a model of the aircraft; it replaces the corresponding parts of the wing from the original kit.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109F, nicknamed Friedrich, was the aerodynamically cleaned-up version of the German fighter from the early part of the Second World War. Compared with the earlier Emil, the F version had a different arrangement of the flaps on the wing trailing edge, where the inboard section also served as the cooling flaps for the glycol radiators. Lowered flaps liven up a standing model considerably.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts and carefully cut off the casting blocks. Join the fine photo-etch with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the inner faces of the flaps before assembling them and bring out the recessed detail with a wash. Protect your breathing when sanding.
This is a detail set, not a complete model. The model itself, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
