The package holds a precisely cast tropical dust filter for the intake, which was fitted to aircraft committed to dusty surroundings. The part replaces or rounds out the plastic rendering and, once built in, raises the fidelity of the forward part of a model.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109F was a German single-seat fighter with an inverted V12 engine and a nose aerodynamically cleaned up against the older versions. Machines committed in the Mediterranean and in North Africa were given a large dust filter at the mouth of the intake, which protected the engine from sand and dust. The F version was among the patterns with well-balanced performance.
Wash the resin part free of mold release residue, cut off the casting block and glue it with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Before building it in, check the fit against the intake cover of the kit and seat it by sanding with respiratory protection if need be.
