The resin set Bf 109G-6 cockpit set (early version) from Aires in 1:48 scale. A detail resin cockpit for the early form of the Bf 109G-6 fighter; it is not an airplane model but a replacement pilot's compartment for a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a detail resin set of the pilot's compartment, not an airplane model. The set replaces the cockpit from a plastic kit with a more faithful resin form with a finely modeled instrument panel, side consoles, a seat and the frame. The early version designation matches the early form of the Bf 109G-6 cockpit, which differs from the later machines. The set is intended for more experienced modelers; to seat it, the inner fuselage walls of the kit usually have to be adapted. It is made by Aires, a specialist in resin accessories in 1:48 scale.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6 was among the most widespread versions of the Gustav series. It was powered by the Daimler-Benz DB 605 inverted V12 engine and, compared with the earlier machines, carried stronger onboard armament, whose breeches showed as the characteristic blisters on the upper fuselage. The type served with a number of flying units in the Second World War in both the day and the night fighter role.
First wash the mold release residue off the parts, cut them carefully from the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways when sanding resin and work in a well-ventilated space. The cockpit is painted before the fuselage is closed; the interior is brought to life by a gentle wash into the recesses, a dry brush on the edges and the straps of the seat harness.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, not an airplane model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
