This set is a resin cockpit accessory for a plastic kit of the German Messerschmitt Bf 109K-4 fighter in 1:48 scale. It is not an airplane model but a detail set that replaces the original cockpit of a kit with a more faithful casting of the instrument panel, side consoles, the seat and the inner structure of the cockpit matching the late K-4 version.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109K-4 was one of the last production versions of the most widespread German fighter of the Second World War. It was marked by aerodynamic and performance changes compared with the older versions of the G series. A detailed cockpit markedly raises the fidelity of the finished model.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, separate the casting blocks and bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Check the fit with the kit parts before gluing it into the fuselage. Sand resin with respiratory protection. The interior comes into its own once the base surfaces are painted and the instruments are picked out with a gentle wash and a dry brush.
