A set of precisely cast resin exhaust stubs for a model of the twin-engine Messerschmitt Bf 110 in the C and D versions in 1:48 scale. It is a detail accessory meant to replace the plastic parts from the kit, not a model of the aircraft. The parts stand out for sharp definition and open mouths, which are hard to reach in injection-molded plastic.
The Bf 110 was a German twin-engine heavy fighter (Zerstorer) committed in the Second World War in the roles of escort fighter, fighter-bomber and night fighter. The Daimler-Benz inverted V12 engines had characteristic rows of exhaust stubs along the sides of the engine nacelles, and a faithful rendering of them markedly lifts the look of a finished model.
Wash the parts free of mold release residue, separate them carefully from the casting blocks and glue them on with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. The mouths of the exhausts benefit from a dark wash and a touch of rust or burning.
This is a resin accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
