The Big Ed line from the Czech company Eduard brings several separately sold upgrade sets for one particular model together in a single package. This bundle is meant for the Blackburn Buccaneer S.2B kit in 1:48 scale and saves you tracking the individual sets down.
The Blackburn Buccaneer came about as a carrier strike aircraft for attacks at low level at high subsonic speed. The S.2B version with a pair of Spey engines served with the Royal Air Force, where it specialized in maritime strike and precision bombing; it rounded its career off in Operation Desert Storm. The substantial airframe with its rotating bomb bay door is popular among modelers precisely for the number of interesting details.
The cockpit, the belts, the surface details and the canopy masking lift a finished model to display-case standard. Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface and bend them in tweezers or a bender; use cyanoacrylate in small amounts applied with a pin. The enclosed masking material also saves you the most laborious part of painting the canopy.
