This Kelik set is an accessory for a plastic model, not a kit. It carries interior 3D decals, that is elements with raised relief and color printed on decal paper, which are applied to the inner surfaces of the model in place of their flat finish. The name distinguishes this set as the Type 2 variant; the manufacturer also makes a Type 1 variant. Check the extent of the set and the contents of the package on the box. The maker cut the sheet for the ICM kit.
The Bristol Beaufort Mk.I is a British twin-engine torpedo bomber of the Second World War. The crew sits in a shared fuselage compartment, so the interior is considerably more visible on the finished model than on a single-seat aircraft and the investment in the inner surfaces pays off.
The surface under the decal must be smooth and overcoated with gloss varnish, otherwise a silvery edge will remain around the element. Cut the elements out closely, soak them briefly in lukewarm water and move them into place with a soft brush. Blot up the remaining water and gently press the decal down with a cotton swab. Use the softener carefully and in small doses, since a 3D decal is thicker than a conventional one and a strong solution can deform its relief. Once dry, the interior is usually sealed with matte varnish.
It is an accessory for a plastic kit, which the package does not contain. The model, paints, varnish and glue are not included in the set.
