1:48 Bristol Beaufort Mk.I Markings airbrush mask is a set of spraying masks from MH models for spraying the markings onto a model of the British Beaufort Mk.I torpedo bomber.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of self-adhesive spraying masks with which the markings of the aircraft are formed by sprayed paint instead of a stuck-on decal. The mask is transferred onto a painted model, sprayed over with the target shade and removed once dry. The insignia then lies directly in the layer of paint, has no glossy carrier film around it and will take stronger weathering too. The set is prepared for a model of the Bristol Beaufort Mk.I in 1:48 scale; the kit and paints are not part of the package.
The Bristol Beaufort Mk.I was a British twin-engine torpedo bomber that grew out of the design of the Blenheim light bomber and was powered by radial Bristol Taurus engines. It served above all with RAF Coastal Command for attacks on shipping targets and for patrol flights over the sea. Besides a torpedo it could carry bombs or mines.
Let the base cure thoroughly and degrease it before sticking the mask on. Transfer the masks with tweezers and press the edges down with a blunt tool, so that the paint does not seep underneath. Spray with thinned paint in several light coats; one heavy coat creates a ridge around the mask that can be felt and that shows after unmasking. Remove the mask shortly after the paint has dried, correct any overruns with a fine brush and finally unify the whole model with varnish in the sheen you want, so that the markings blend with the surrounding surface.
The package contains masks only. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
