Responsibility details are not available.
A finished model from the Tamiya collection in 1:48 scale. The paint and the divisional markings are applied at the factory, so both the building and the work with decals fall away.
The 47th Infantry Division with the London designation was formed at the beginning of the war as a Territorial Army formation and remained in the British Isles. It provided home defense, anti-invasion measures and above all training. It ran a battle training school and developed methods that other units took over from it. In 1944 it took part in the supporting and deception measures that accompanied the preparations for the landings, and in the autumn of that year it was converted into a reserve formation.
Light utility cars of the 10HP class were derived from a prewar passenger car and in the army they filled an inconspicuous but indispensable role. They carried mail, spare parts, officers and small items of equipment, and they were seen everywhere that heavier vehicles were not needed. With training units and home garrisons in particular they were an entirely everyday sight. The load area could be covered with a tarpaulin, which was useful in bad weather.
The car is finished at the factory, so it is neither glued nor repainted.
